Women across India will be on a sit-in protest from midnight ahead of India's Independence Day- this in response to the horrific gangrape and murder of a young female doctor at a public hospital in Kolkata. The (now ousted) principal of the RG Kar Medical College where the assault and killing took place, blamed the victim in his first response. Shockingly, till the High Court intervened, the principal was transferred to another college instead of being sacked. The protests across India are widening as shocking details of what appears to be an attempted cover up, emerge.
