Two people lost their lives and ten others were injured in a series of firing and drone attacks by suspected Kuki insurgents in Manipur. According to police and state home department reports, this marks the first instance of weaponized drones being used to drop bombs on civilians in India. Kuki Groups who have an uneasy relationship with the Manipur police have denied the allegations.
