Pictures from Ground Zero: The Tragedy in Odisha

On June 2nd a massive railway accident involving three trains unfolded in the town of Balasore in Odisha. The Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Expres alongside a goods train met with a three-way accident resulting in massive derailment and subsequent carnage. Almost 288 lives lost, and close to 900 injured. Mojo Story’s Ramanika Roy, Anirudh Mehta, and Madan Lal are at Ground Zero where the bereaved and beleaguered voices of those who lost their loved ones, or those who are searching for them in the debris of dead bodies are found in hundreds. The insurmountable tragedy witnessed through stacks of bodies, and tiny photographs.
