Apple Is No Longer World's Biggest Phone Seller
Apple has been dethroned as the world's largest mobile phone seller by Samsung, as per IDC's report. Samsung, which held the title for 12 years until 2023, regained the lead with a 20.8% market share compared to Apple's 17.3%. Apple's iPhone shipments dipped to 50.1 million units in the first quarter, facing challenges in China and competition from local rivals like Xiaomi. The global smartphone market remains fiercely competitive for market dominance.
