G.N. Saibaba Acquitted

Bombay High Court acquitted former Delhi University professor GN Saibaba and five others in the Maoist link case. Justices Vinay Joshi and Valmiki SA Menezes overturned a Nagpur sessions court's 2017 conviction. The verdict followed a rehearing of Saibaba's appeal. Saibaba, wheelchair-bound and 99% disabled, remains in Nagpur Central Jail after being convicted in Gadchiroli for alleged Maoist ties.
