IPL Betting Debt Leads To Suicide

In a disturbing incident from Karnataka's Chitradurga, Ranjitha, 23, wife of Darshan Babu, an engineer addicted to betting in IPL died by suicide because of a massive debt run up by her husband. Darshan Babu, employed in Hosadurga, accumulated a debt exceeding Rs. 1 crore from 2021 to 2023, leaving ₹84 lakh unsettled. Ranjitha was distressed due to the calls from creditors and collectors.
