Lakshadweep | Women empowerment by Dweepshree

Women in the islands, freed from religious constraints, achieve financial independence through Dweepsree and the efforts of Jan Shikshan Sansthan officials. Launched in 2017, Dweepsree draws inspiration from Kerala's successful 'Kudumbashree'. Originally considered to be named Kudumbasree, it was later changed to Dweepsree to reflect its island origins. This initiative empowers women economically, alleviating poverty burdens in Lakshadweep.
