This Village Shows The Way For Rainwater Harvesting

The residents of Surajpura, a quaint and far-flung village in the hot desert of Rajasthan have pulled off something pretty cool: they built a huge mud wall, 15 feet tall, stretching nearly a mile across dry land. It took about 650 of them six months of hard work in 2022. This wall did wonders last year, stopping rainwater and sending it to thirsty farms in Rajasthan, bringing it back to life after 20 years. Now, the village is buzzing again with birds, and folks who had left for work are back on their farms.
