Bihar Election: “Rahul Gandhi ख़ुश नहीं हैं” — JDU Leader on Modi, Nitish & BJP | Barkha Dutt
KC Tyagi defends Nitish Kumar’s clean image and predicts his return as Bihar CM, rejecting all corruption and alliance-switching rumours.
Senior JDU leader and veteran politician KC Tyagi spoke with Barkha Dutt about the upcoming Bihar Elections 2025, expressing firm belief that Nitish Kumar will once again lead the state as Chief Minister.
At the start, Tyagi shared his long association of over five decades with Nitish Kumar and defended him as one of the most honest and capable leaders in Indian politics. He dismissed any talk of anti-incumbency or fatigue among voters, stating that no corruption charges have ever been proven against Nitish Kumar.
Responding to comments made by Prashant Kishor, who compared Nitish Kumar to former PM Manmohan Singh and questioned his fitness, Tyagi rejected such claims, calling them disrespectful. He emphasized Nitish’s long history of public service and leadership born out of struggle, not privilege.
Tyagi also addressed speculation about BJP’s loyalty to Nitish, asserting that the NDA remains united. He ruled out any possibility of Nitish switching sides again, saying, “We are in the NDA and will remain in the NDA.”
He further highlighted Nitish Kumar’s governance achievements—especially in women’s empowerment, education, and law and order—saying these will ensure the NDA’s win. Tyagi concluded that Bihar’s political battle remains bipolar, and that the Modi-Nitish partnership continues to be a decisive force.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Barkha Dutt said the real test of these claims will come on result day, November 14, when Bihar’s people give their verdict.
