India vs Pakistan: Pakistan’s Absurd Threat After Army Chief’s Warning – War of Words Escalates
India’s top generals and diplomats decode rising India-Pak tensions after fiery statements from both sides — Barkha Dutt explores if this war of words could turn real.
After Indian Army Chief Gen. Upendra Dwivedi warned that Pakistan could be erased from the map if it continued backing terrorism, Islamabad’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif responded with a fierce statement, threatening India would be “buried under the wreckage of its warplanes.”
In this special discussion with Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, three national security experts — Lt. Gen. Satish Dua, Lt. Gen. Ata Hasnain, and Ambassador Bashwati Mukherjee — decoded the escalating war of words between the two nations.
Lt. Gen. Hasnain explained that India’s recent strong statements from the Defence Minister, Army Chief, and Air Chief show a clear, coordinated message that India is prepared for any threat. He said Pakistan’s new alliances with powers like the US, China, and Saudi Arabia may have made it overconfident, but India’s response is well-planned and deliberate.
Gen. Dua highlighted that India’s stance has shifted from soft to strong, warning Pakistan of preemptive strikes if terrorist activities continue. Ambassador Mukherjee added that while Pakistan appears emboldened by global support, its internal chaos and dependency on China limit its real strength.
The experts agreed that India must stay ready for all possibilities — from hybrid warfare to conventional conflict — while maintaining diplomatic balance.
Barkha Dutt noted that despite Pakistan’s harsh rhetoric, it has often acted irrationally in the past. Hence, India’s focus on preparedness and strong messaging reflects a commitment to peace through strength.
