Manipur HC Tweaks 2023 Order On Meiteis In ST List

Manipur High Court has modified its 2023 order about the inclusion of Meiteis in the list of Scheduled Tribes that led to massive ethnic violence in the state and claimed over 200 lives. The detailed order deleted the direction to the state government to consider the addition of the Meiteis to the ST list 'expeditiously, preferably within 4 weeks," which had incensed the Kukis.
