There’s No One Like Kareena’: Her Most Honest Interview Ever – From Marriage to Botox | With Barkha Dutt

Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up to Barkha Dutt on overcoming fear, ageing with grace, and staying authentic in a world that won’t stop judging.

At the “We the Women London” event hosted by Barkha Dutt, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of Bollywood’s most celebrated stars, spoke candidly about her life — from facing fear and anxiety after Saif Ali Khan’s near-death experience to embracing motherhood, ageing, and authenticity in an often judgmental world.

Reflecting on the break-in at her Mumbai home that left Saif injured, Kareena revealed the emotional aftermath of the incident and how it reshaped her perspective on family and resilience. “It shook me to the core,” she admitted, adding that she refuses to raise her children in fear. “I’m just thankful we’re safe and stronger as a unit,” she said.

Moving to lighter moments, Kareena spoke about her love for food, her grounded family life, and her refusal to conform to unrealistic beauty standards. “I’ve never felt better or acted better in my 40s,” she said proudly, rejecting Botox and advocating self-preservation through balance, family, and mental well-being.

She also opened up about nepotism, insisting that talent, not lineage, sustains success. “You can get a break because of your surname, but you stay because of your work,” she said.

As the session closed, Barkha Dutt praised Kareena’s honesty and dignity, calling her a true role model for women who live life on their own terms.
