"Why Was FIR Filed After Cremation?"

The Supreme Court Bench led by Chief Justice Chandrachud resumed hearing the Kolkata Doctor's Rape and murder case. The CBI and the West Bengal government presented their reports. The Bench blasted the Kolkata Police for the "14-hour delay in FIR", asking how they could defend the fact that the first FIR was filed after the post-mortem and not before. Justice Pardiwala said "I have not seen anything like this in 30 years."
